The project at Tuam Community Mental Health Facility involved the comprehensive installation and upgrade of its electrical and communication infrastructure. This included the provision of a main and sub-distribution power system, along with general electrical services such as outlets, lighting, and emergency power. Modifications to existing services and the removal of outdated equipment were part of the scope, ensuring the facility remained operational during construction. Mechanical systems, including burners, pumps, and gas leak detection, were integrated into the electrical network. The project also featured a full ICT installation, along with a public address, telephone, fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems, all designed using open protocol technology. Energy efficiency was monitored through metering systems, and detailed documentation and commissioning ensured the facility was fully functional upon completion.
